Skyepharma Earns EcoVadis Bronze Medal: A Transparent Look at Our CSR Performance

At Skyepharma, transparency is at the core of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment. As a leading CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization), we continuously measure our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance against the highest international standards.

In our latest EcoVadis assessment, Skyepharma achieved an overall score of 68/100. While this score reflects solid performance across all audited pillars, it earned us an EcoVadis Bronze Medal.

Here is an honest look into how the EcoVadis methodology works, a breakdown of our performance, and our action plan to push our sustainability standards even higher.

Understanding the 2026 EcoVadis Scoring System

EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, assessing over 130,000 companies across global supply chains. Built on international Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards, such as the United Nations Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and ISO 26000, EcoVadis evaluates performance across four main themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. For pharmaceutical companies and CDMOs like Skyepharma, an EcoVadis assessment provides an independent, rigorous, and globally recognized benchmark of ESG performance and supply chain transparency.

Since 2024, EcoVadis medals are no longer awarded based on absolute point thresholds. Instead, they are determined by a company’s percentile rank compared to all evaluated companies worldwide over the previous 12 months:

🥇 Platinum: Top 1% (99th+ percentile)

🥇 Gold: Top 5% (95th+ percentile)

🥈 Silver: Top 15% (85th+ percentile)

🥉 Bronze: Top 35% (65th+ percentile)

Our Exact Positioning: Top 27% Worldwide

With a score of 68/100, Skyepharma sits at the 73rd percentile. This places us within the Top 27% of all assessed companies globally.

While being in the Top 27% easily qualifies us for the Bronze medal (which covers the top 35%), reaching the Silver medal required entering the Top 15%.

This distinction highlights an important reality: the global CSR benchmark is tightening every year. Companies worldwide are making significant progress, raising the standards for everyone. Our performance is strong and improving, but the bar to reach Silver and Gold continues to move higher, a challenge we welcome as a responsible CDMO.
