Xatral® (alfuzosin) OD (Uroxatral® in the US) is a once-daily version of sanofi-aventis' Xatral®, a selective alpha-blocker for treating the urinary symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia, a common condition affecting middle aged and older men.
Xatral® OD uses our Geomatrix™ oral delivery technology. The product was first approved in April 2000 and has been on the market outside the US since April 2000. UroXatral® was launched by sanofi-aventis in the US market in November 2003.
