SkyePharma operates a FDA registered medium volume manufacturing facility in France near Lyon. This facility, originally built in the early 1990s, offers customers access to the capacity and capability for the manufacture of solid dosage form and dry powder inhalers using SkyePharma proprietary technologies. The manufacturing facilities have successfully completed US FDA and EMEA inspections for the manufacture of a number of products and have been inspected a number of times by customers. This facility enables SkyePharma to deliver manufacturing services on a contract basis to its customers.
