External Products

Skyepharma previously owned an injectible business which was sold in March 2007 to Blue Acquistion Corp., now called Pacira, Inc. Under the terms of the sale, SkyePharma is entitled to receive a share of sales and various milestones from the launch and sales of EXPAREL in various countries.

At various stages in the past, SkyePharma has licenced technologies to other companies. Under these contracts SkyePharma is entitled to milestones and royalties which are triggered by the stages of development, approval and sale of the final products. As these products have not been directly developed by SkyePharma, these have been classified under the External products heading.
